Soooooo....

This week has been bad. But it's ok. Because there's a lot of things to look forward too!
I had another asthma attack and ended up in the hospital again. I fail at life. I need to learn how to take better care of myself. But I'm getting better and it's good because I'm leaving on the 4th of November to visit my sister in Paris! :) Yeah! With my mom! For a full week!
And then, I'll take a plane to Leeds. Because one of my friend is studying there and I'll spend the weekend with her. And then I'll got to London. For a few days and then back to Paris for my flight back.
OMG so excited!
I'll hopefully be better by the time I have to leave. I'm already a little bit better so it's good.
I really wanted to go see the Château de Pierrefonds while in France but I don't think it will be possible. :(

Anyone has any suggestion of awesome places I should check out while in London? And also maybe the best way to get back to Paris afterwards? It's the only thing I haven't booked yet.

And when I get back; I'm pretty sure I'll have the motivation to look for a real job! (Wishful thinking? Maybe but whatever!) I'll do it and my life will be awesome!

(no subject)

Staying at home doing nothing is not the best way to find a job! Who would've known?

I also discovered that things in my back pocket fall out and have the tendency of getting lost. *I have to remember to tell my sister I lost the ticket to her show. :(*

Not a good day.

Geek Pride Day!

A few weeks ago, [info]remielle pointed out to me that today was Geek Pride Day!
So I'm wishing a nice day to all my fellow nerds out there.
Here for the wikipedia article.

From Wikipedia

Robert Bianco of USA Today wrote that, though Dollhouse is not boring or ordinary, the end result is a show "that [Joss Whedon's] most devoted fans will debate and embrace, and a mass audience just won't get."

And that's why I'm almost certain I've just watched the last episode that will be aired. :(

(I sould do a longer entry next week.)

Interesting fact.

Thank you people who comment on the Friendly Hostility commentary community.

Now, thanks to you, I know that there's a gay zombie movies.

And that it was funded by the Canadian art Council.

HA!

I should do a real update soon.

Graduation

I didn't expect to cry. I don't remember the last time I did, but when I said bye to some of my friends tonight, I couldn't help it. (My eyes are like waterfalls. I'm still tearing up almost half an hour later and back at home.)

Just a few more days and I'm back in Montreal for good.

Thank you. And good night,

I'm leaving Sunday for Orlando with my family. For a week.
Apart from the obvious, any places we should really see?

Dollhouse

Everyone needs to watch it. I don't want another Firefly/Wonderdalls/any other good shows that gets cancelled before the end of the first season. :( And I want some Joss Whedon in my TV.
Seriously. Friday nights at FOX.

I watch a LOT of TV. But I like it. :) And I try to see it as studying. But it's not. Sadly.
I'll still put it in my resume. XD

Casanova

I finally decided to watch Casanova, the mini-series with David Tennant. (Only three episodes, so really mini.) For some random reason I thought it would be a historical tragedy with long complicated dialogues. Well. I was completely wrong.

I just finished the second episode and I'm full of glee. I want to own it on DVD and watch it on loop until I get tired of it. And it's not just because its got David Tennant in tights.
It is genuinely funny and the love story is fascinating. I love how he lies his way trough everything. And I love Henriette. She's pretty ok?

At first they where some visual choices that I found weird, or out of date, but after the second episode, I think they just fit the universe and the style the created for the show. The only thing bothering me at this point, and I don't think they could really change that(same actor, and I believe same creator?) , is that sometimes I see too much of the Doctor in David Tennant's interpretation. The way he says certain words or some facial expression, or some sentences.
But that's my only critic for now.

Thanks  [info]cabayuki  for finding it for me! :-)

I made my mom watch SGA

I love sci-fi. But then I love a lot of different kinds of TV shows. (Except reality TV... Except maybe SYTYCD.)
I've been marathoning the second season of SGA with my mom since Christmas. Meaning every time we have 2 minutes we watch an episode.
She made me buy the third season; we started it today.
I love TV and my mom loves TV too. But sadly doesn't watch it when I'm not around. :(
I made a lot of great discoveries this year. And I will try to watch as much TV in 2009 as I did in 2008 (Well, maybe a little less so I have time for these other resolutions I took. You know the none important kind like getting in shape). No regrets.

Long time no Post

I'm back home for Christmas. It's nice.
My sesa is done. I though I would need an extension. I even asked for it, but ended up not needing it.
I bought the X-Men trilogy yesterday for 15$. It was cheaper to buy the trilogy then just buy the third one.

Now I'll do something I did last year.Under the cut! )

Finally; Only two more months of school! And then I have my internship and I'm done!
Yay! I should go eat now. All I did today was lounge around in bed. I love holidays! ;)

On a 7 intervenants.

Je retourne me coucher prise 2.

EDIT: Je viens de recevoir un téléphone. Il est 6h45AM. Notre actrice a la gastro. On doit tout remettre à Mardi.

HA! Why aren't you awesome by me?

SO yesterday I had a... hard day.
I study television production. And this term we had to create a half hour variety kind show. We're a class of 22 and in teams of 4 or 5 we each create a different show with the rest of the class being the tech team (camera, light, sound etc).
This week it was our turn. We worked since the beginning of the session to find a host, some regional artist to participate, to create the set, plus the conception of the show etc... etc...

We got there at 8h in the morning yesterday. We put up the lights, get the set ready, spend all day in the studio making sure all the technical stuff works. And then at 5 the host and the guests arrived. At 8h we went live.

Our guest where a rap coalition of some sort.

Anyway it was exhausting and stressful and I'm happy it's over.

I'm not sure of the end result since there was a few bugs with sound and with some of the camera crew.

Anyway, we did our best.
Now I can concentrate on my other huge project, the documentary.
And start working on my Sesa. It's about time I start! :O

School

I have some big projects this sessions. Here's one of them.

As an end of term project, I'm doing a 15 min documentary on old people's sexuality. This afternoon I have my first interview with an old lady who lives in a centre near where I live. I've met her twice, she talked about everything already. I know what she's going to say, but it's our first interview so I'm really stressed. We have three main aspects to our Documentary. 1) How other people see elderly sexuality. (We want to break the belief that grand-parents do not have sex) 2) The changes the way society see sexuality in general 3) And the problems that can occur with an older body, both physically and mentally.

We'll have two more elderly person to interview plus a biologist and a clerk in a sex-shop.
Anyways. I'm looking forward to Christmas. When it's all over and I'll be able to watch TV, and read and do nothing at all.

My computer is fixed!!!

Wow! I got it back faster then I expected!
I'm still installing programme and making it feel more homey!

I officially hate school. This term is stupid. I'm not learning anything new and I'm stressed 99.9% of the time. The 0.1% left is when I watch a new SGA, or when I manage to escape for a few minutes to read a fic.

I don't think I need to say I'm not doing NaNo this year... Booo! I always wanted to succeed at least once. (I'd participate in French.) Maybe next year?

MTYG! I'm so excited for this though! I managed to start having a few ideas! It's going to be epic! :p
